A Ten Commandments Day - May 7, 2006.
Official Announcement from the Ten Commandments Commission

We are excited about the move we have made for the date of the First Annual Ten Commandments Day celebration. After much prayer and counsel from Godly leaders we have decided to designate the first Sunday in May as Ten Commandments Day.

The Ten Commandments Day, May 7, 2006, will offer us an opportunity to make a bold declaration that America is still One Nation Under God.

Here is an excerpt that reflects this website's comment on the article above.

It is amazing but commendable, that The Ten Commandments, recorded over thousands of years ago, are being highlighted for the whole world to recognize, today. In this regard, the founders of the Ten Commandments Day deserve much credit for their gallant effort.

However, real success of this endeavor would be realized, only if people would earnestly believe in the Author of the Commandments, and by faith in Jesus, obey these precepts. True appreciation for God’s coded principles would be demonstrated best, only by obedience to the Commandments.

  • At this time, we will not discuss how the Commandments enrich lives. The objective is to alert every person, about a soon-coming crisis that would center on the day that God engraved as one of the Commandments. Since the 1800s, most Christians and non-Christians have treated with much disdain, prophetic messages and warnings about this crisis.
  • Today, however, the celebrating of a Ten Commandments Day stands as convincing evidence that the crisis is approaching. The support and unity achieved to establish The Ten Commandments Day is staggering. Such response proves that the prophecy in Revelation 13:15 is true, certain, and sure [Daniel 2:45]: that, Protestant Christians in the United States of America will eventually amass sufficient political power to influence the government to pass legislation for a national day of rest. Revelation 13:15

The Ten Commandments Commission added its name to
a request by many national ministries and leaders asking the
U.S. Congress to pass the proposed Constitution Restoration
Act of 2005. This important piece of legislation would make
into law what so many secular groups have tried to deny us
as Americans,“ explained Wexler [Founder]. ”It would allow the
Ten Commandments to be proudly displayed in public places
across this nation."
